This privacy policy covers Peak UK Kayaking Co Ltd and its website.

In brief - we only collect data we need to fulfil your sales contract - unless you have actively opted in to our newsletter. We do not share information outside of our business, we delete information we no longer need and you can access, remove or discuss your data at any point. Just let us know!

You can browse our site without disclosing any personal data to us. We do not automatically log personal data nor do we link information automatically logged by other means with personal data about specific individuals. Cookies are placed / collected to monitor visits and improve our website but not used to store personal data. We will collect and store information about you to allow us to 1) process and fulfill any order requirements and 2) provide you with the best possible service. We will collect and store any personal data that you may volunteer whist using our services (e.g. registration, placing an order or requesting a catalogue). All information is collected lawfully and in accordance with the GDPR 2018. We will only use your personal information for our marketing purposes where you have actively opted in. We will not share your information with third parties unless legally required to do so. Other companies that have access to your information due to their involvement with our website are Tor Studio Web Design, JW Web Development and TSO Hosting. These companies will not use nor share your information for their own purposes.  The type of information that we will collect will include:

  • Title and name
  • Delivery / billing addresses
  • Contact telephone number
  • E-mail address
Non-financial information relating to online orders will be held on secure servers with TSO Hosting, on our in-house accounting system (internal and password protected) and in paper invoice format (in a locked, alarmed office). Some non-financial information will also be stored in email and on our email servers hosted by 123-Reg (secure, password protected). Non financial details can be accessed by you at any time and can be deleted upon request. If you have created an account you can delete this at your will. All non financial accounting information including invoices with names, addresses, email and phone numbers is held on paper and digital format, in a locked, alarmed premises for seven years, in accordance with UK HM Revenue & Customs guidelines. This information will be destroyed after the seven year period.

Any financial information from online orders will be processed by our secure payment provider Worldpay. This allows us to refund orders but not to take any more money than you have authorised by purchasing online. No payment card information from online orders is stored by Peak UK and we have no access to your card information through Worldpay.

Email addresses and names provided for use on our mailing list will be stored and processed through our Mailchimp account online (two step verification log in). These details can be accessed and removed at any time and will be stored until removal is requested. Individuals registering their details may do so on the understanding that they are aware of the intended purpose for the collection of data. They will be sent further information / communication via email only. Information about you will not be shared or transferred to any third party. We will periodically send email consent reminders allowing you to delete your mailing list details. You can also instruct us to remove these at any time, or remove them manually using the link on any of our marketing emails.

You have the right to access and delete (if applicable) your information at any time.
